Friends of the Constantia Valley Greenbelts is a community-based organization dedicated to looking after the greenbelts in Constantia. Greenbelts play an important role in preserving natural areas and providing recreational spaces for communities. Their role as official custodians of the greenbelts and their collaboration with the city to maintain and enhance these areas is commendable.
It's also noteworthy that they are involved in a rehabilitation project in the Bel Ombre Greenbelt, particularly the planting of Silver Trees. The planting of native or indigenous species like Silver Trees can help restore and improve the ecological balance of greenbelt areas. Silver Trees are native to South Africa and are known for their distinctive silver leaves and unique ecological significance.
Community-based organizations like Friends of the Constantia Valle Greenbelts play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the natural beauty and ecological health of greenbelt areas for the benefit of the community and future generations.
